Web hosting is a service that serves your website to anyone that visits it. cPanel is a web hosting control panel, which ensures a graphical interface and automation tools, aimed to make simpler the process of hosting a web site. This cPanel tool is available ondifferent types of web hosting plans, including: Shared Hosting, Reseller Hosting, VPS and Linux Dedicated Servers.
After your registration, you will receive Welcome email, which contains a username and a password. You will use them to log into cPanel or into addon, parked and sub domains.
You only get one username per cPanel. If you create addon, parked and subdomains, those domains can be accessed by logging in to your main cPanel; you will not have a separate cPanel or separate login credentials.
Note: If you can’t log in cPanel, please contact us via phone, live chat or help form. Also, you can see different variations of the login, but it’s due to operating systems and web browsers and works in the same manner.Access to cPanel
It’s recommended to use httpswith the port address 2083 to access cPanel in order to have secure connection.
You will have cPanel access in different ways, but the most appropriate are the following 3 options:
Option 1:
If you know your server name (you should know it from your Welcome email),it’s necessary to write in the browser:
https://ServerName:2083
Option 2:
Write the following address in the browser: your server's IP address(you should know it from your Welcome email) and the secure port number:
https://Server-IP-Address:2083
Note: It will display a browser warning. To deal with it, please read article “Getting Around the SSL Browser Warning”.
Option 3:
Write the following address in the browser: your domain name, followed by the secure port number:
https://exampledomain.com:2083
Note: If the written domain in the address is not pointed to the server, you will not have access to cPanel on the server. So the best options are the 1st and 2nd, described above.
If you need the server’s secure name, don’t hesitate to contact us.
